Les Traîtres (France)/Nouvelle Génération (2025)

Les Traîtres: Nouvelle Génération (translating to The Traitors: New Generation in English) is the first spinoff, streaming-only season of Les Traîtres (France) (and fourth season overall). Unlike the main franchise, this season was exclusive to M6+, and uploaded in entirety on September 27, 2024, although M6 would also broadcast the first 2 episodes on the same day.

Background[]

During the casting reveals for Season 3 on May 20, 2024, the general director of M6 also announced a special edition of the show for YouTubers, influencers and content creators. It was filmed back to back with Season 3, and would air exclusively on M6+ with Éric Antoine returning as host.^[1] On September 4, 2024, during the one-week break for Season 3, M6 announcing the finale date for it, alongside an official announcement for Nouvelle Génération airing immediately afterwards. The cast list was also announced, and included the return of Season 2 participant Andy Raconte.^[2]

Unique Characteristics & Twists[]

• Pre-existing Relationships: Two pairs of influencers were cast on the show together: dating couple Raphaël Martins and Shera Kerienski, and friends/colleagues Jenny Letellier and Valentin Jean. Both pairs were competing as individual contestants.
• Returning Contestant: Season 2 contestant Andy Raconte returned to participate as a full-fledged contestant, re-entering the game after the Traitors were selected in Episode 1 and officially meeting the rest of the group at Breakfast during Episode 2. Additionally, unlike other returnees who were assigned as Faithfuls by default, Andy was allowed to choose her role when entering the game.
• Murder in Plain Sight: At the end of Episode 4, there was no Traitor's conclave. Instead, the Traitors had to kiss a Faithful during the group's free time after that day's Banishment before midnight, in order to Murder them.
• The Dungeon: A modified version of the On Trial twist was introduced, with three contestants being Condemned by the Traitors to The Dungeon (Traitors could also Condemn themselves), where they would be held until the next Round Table, unable to interact with the other contestants. They were also the only contestants eligible to be Murdered the following night.
• The Attic: In Episode 7, contestants competed in a Mission to win access to the Attic, containing the notes and thoughts of Murdered contestants and who they suspected were Traitors.
